Critic Reviews

Line 6 Constrictor

ovnilab.com

Line 6's ToneCore Constrictor Compressor offers solid digital emulation with three distinct modes that deliver good tone and sustain for the price. While the noise level is manageable and highs remain intact, the low end can occasionally sound thin and distort with high-output instruments. The modes provide variety, from punchy clarity to a vintage vibe, though the third mode can feel mushy. It falls short as a peak limiter but includes a decent noise gate. Rugged in build, the pedal's footswitch lacks sturdiness and true bypass but performs adequately. Overall, it's a commendable choice for those seeking noticeable compression on a budget.

Good compressor but not great

Really this sits around a 3.5-3.75 rating. Very flexible with 3 different modes. There are other options available but these go for cheap. If you're looking for an every once and a while comp, this would do the trick.
