Peavey VYPYR 75, My experience
It's an awesome modeling/multi-effects amp and has been my main amp for 5+ years. I prefer it over similar style amps that I've played. I credit (blame lol) this amp for getting me into home recording, it has a usb port so you can record without an interface. The Sanpera pedals you can buy for it are pretty cool but I found them a bit, however I didn't put much effort into learning it and I'm not great with making presets and such. I would definitely recommend this amp for a beginner/intermediate player who isn't sure what they want in an amp yet and can't afford a bunch of pedals. It models, I think, 12 amps(2 channels each), 11 stompboxes, and 11 rack effects. All of these reasonable edited, I don't remember how many factory presets there are but a few I liked and you can make a few of your own, 400 if you get the Sanpera 2. Overall a great amp and I picked it up used for under $100 and have only had minor glitches when it took a couple tries for it to boot up but it hasn't glitched while playing.
Peavey Vypyr 75
With double the processing power, models and effects of competitive modeling amplifiers, the VYPYR Series dramatically redefines the power and scope of modern guitar amplification. VYPYR amplifiers are based on a combination of powerful 32-bit, floating-point SHARC processors and patented TransTube analog circuitry.
Featuring 24 amp channel models--both the clean and distorted channels of 12 popular amps for the first time anywhere--plus 11 editable preamp "stomp box" effects and 11 editable post-amp "rack" effects with dual-parameter control. Players can use up to five effects simultaneously. When used with the optional Peavey Sanpera(tm) II foot controller, the possibilities further expand from 12 in-amp presets to 400 programmable presets, with an on-board looper and more.
The VYPYR also acts as its own computer audio interface, with a built-in studio-quality USB 2.0 output on most models that is recognized by computers as an audio device. The entire six-model VYPYR Series features the easy-to-use Peavey WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) interface.

Really good first amp
I've had this amp for 8 years and its served me well. It can pull out some great clean and heavily distorted tones but suffers when it comes to taking pedals. I'm long overdue for an upgrade, but this amp will definitely exceed your expectations if its your first amp
