Suhr Shiba Drive Reloaded review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

The Suhr Shiba Drive Reloaded is a standout overdrive pedal, praised for its amp-like warmth and enhanced tonal flexibility. It offers a naturally open sound with a full-bodied presence and a tighter low-end, making it ideal for both clean boosts and more driven amp tones. The Smooth switch and tone knob provide added control to tailor the upper-mids, which proves beneficial for cutting through mixes or taming brighter pickups. While the pedal is notably playable and versatile, the review mentions no significant drawbacks, highlighting it as an excellent choice for those seeking to elevate their amplifier's performance.

Great OD with minor issues.

A very nice crunchy tone. Although it is difficult to control the 'tone' knob as it is very muffled until about 80 percent, where it kicks in instantly to too much treble. This was one downside that is an easy fix as long as it does not get touched. The 'smooth' three way toggle to me, seemed useless and could have been executed better, by making each level a big difference from the other. But in the end I got an awesome sounding overdrive in which no one can complain about. I would recommend a try before buy, due too tone control. But personally I am happy.
