Solid German Design and Execution

The drivers in the DT 1770 Pro sound stunning and the soundstage/stereo image representation they offer is incredible for a pair of closed back headphones. To add, the build quality is exceptionally chunky while remaining light enough on your head. They fit incredibly well around your entire ear, are comfortable to wear for hours, and the headband can extend to fit any size head. The sound isolation is top notch with both the default velour ear pads and even moreso with the pleather ear pads. The wired connection is a chunky 3-pin mini-XLR which also lends a feeling of superior design & manufacturing. My three qualms are as follows. 1: The ear pad replacement system is utterly archaic for how beautifully designed the rest of these cans are. 2: The earcups don't swivel back & forth more than a few degrees, and 3: There isn't a connection point on the right earcup; changing these would greatly improve convenience. They're also a bit pricey considering Beyerdynamic doesn't do anything crazy in regards to the little extra details. That being said, they're the core bread and butter of studio closed backs done right and durably. In love with these currently!
