Brilliant headphones for the Price.
I bought these in my hometown of Bristol, and they BLEW ME AWAY!!!! The response is basically flat. At first, I thought that there was little bass in the headphones but as I used them for about an hour, they started to show their true colors. I use them with the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2, and even though I have to whack the volume of the headphones up to full volume, they are still the best headphones I have ever used.

@Kidsonic UPDATE! I don't have to put them up to full. That's just the burn-in time.

Discovering the true potential of studio headphones
I used to think my Sennheiser HD280 were good studio headphones, until a friend showed me these. Made me realize there are studio headphones, and then there are STUDIO headphones! These are the latter.
Very very light and comfortable for extended sessions, excellent bass (full but not overly emphasized). They're pretty huge, might be a little goofy out in public, but I use 'em in the studio late at night :)

The Caddillac of Headphones (do we stiff use that reference?)
These are so great you might even be tempted to actually mix using these. There is bit too much low end for that. They do require quite a bit of power to really crank up high though. If you have a device with a little battery, like a cute pink ipod, expect to neither crank it up nor to have your battery last as long. But het sound great, so I don't use them with everyone in the studio. We all say we want a flat response but most of us want that already overly mastered disco curve". This will give you to most forgiving sound. These are not like a pair of Yamaha Ns10, Hs8s, great for someone working with program material or treating yourself to something really nice.
Every studio needs a pair
I can't talk highly enough of these. They're German made. They're from a company with a stellar reputation. They're beyond comfortable. And most importantly, they sound phenomenal. By far, the best reference-level headphones for under $500 if you ask me.

Incredible Bass
I have always loved my trusty Sony MDR-7506,which some say are the NS-10M of the headphone world, but when a friend told me about the DT-770PRO, I was absolutely amazed with the depth for what I need, which is detailed midrange and still a great depth on the Low End. I also got the half closed version , but somewhat funny and strange for me since I am used to closed headphone environments.

Excellence
The perfect flat-response closed studio headphone. They are the best on the market in my opinion.
My only complaint is that they make your head hurt after wearing them for over an hour, but it is hard to find a headphone that won't. The ear cushions are incredibly soft, though.

GREAT!, but a bit quiet on the bass response. handles the bass like crap. completely threw away the lower register.
get something with more bass, though it is comfy!
