A great boost and overdrive
I've had this pedal for over a year now. I've swamped it off and on a couple times, and keep coming back to it - it's now a mainstay on my board. It's very easy to dial in a sweet overdrive, and pairs nicely either before or after lower-gain pedals. Its sweet spot is as a mid-gain pedal, and works especially well with humbuckers. I often keep my guitar's volume control around 7, where the notes are especially clean and articulate. Turn it up to 10 for boosts and you retain the clarity but increase the bite.
I really don't know why this pedal is not talked about or used more often. A solid choice often at a great second-hand price.

Blues to Hardrock
The Diamond J-Drive is a compact pedal reminiscent of old school garage-rock tones of the 70's.
In general, this pedal does everything. You can roll in a small amount of drive without it sounding weak, or you can turn it all the way up and get some really warm gritty lead tones.
I don't really use the tone switch anymore as I can't really hear the difference.
The gain boost is an excellent addition which really tears whatever tone you just constructed apart.
