    Source

Comparisons

  • The amp is compared to an AC30, with users noting a preference for the AC30's sparkly, jangly clean tones over the Deville's offerings.

    Source

Build quality

  • Original 1993 Blues DeVilles shipped with Fender brand brown Eminence speakers, not the blue Alnicos, which could impact the amp's weight and tonal character.

Fender Blues Deville Reissue Combo review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

The Fender Blues Deville 410 is a powerhouse amp that delivers classic Fender tone with its four Alnico drivers. Praised for its great sound and robust build, it captures the vintage vibe effortlessly. While the amp is slightly overpriced compared to its competition, it compensates with its rich, warm tones and improved build quality. The reissue addresses past issues like mains hum and overheating, making it a reliable choice for musicians seeking that authentic Fender experience. However, its control layout can be awkward, and the price might be a hurdle for some. Overall, it's a solid choice for those craving a classic Fender sound.

Only a bargain of you need it

Sounds and looks the part, very loud though. This is why they are so cheap.

eddie_sabotage

The Devil wears Tweed.

When my hot wife gave me this amp I knew I had found my match! The amp is incredibly, devilishly loud, and even though I may be the only guitar player left who thinks that's what rock guitar amps are supposed to be, the Deville, or as I like to call it, 'The Devil', is a true platform of guitar tone. The louder I crank it the better it sounds - making the gods of rock weep, remember what has been lost!

My pedal board into this Fender 4x10 is the sound I've always been looking for.

Amazing Power, Great Tone, Minor Flaws That Are Easily Fixed.

Really good, solid amp, sounds pretty much perfect and pristine clean at low volumes, I would say it would definitely benefit from the Fromel Electronics "Supreme" Modification Kit as its fixes numerous flaws in the circuitry of the amp. However, this doesn't mean I don't think its a bloody brilliant amp, no piece of equipment is perfect, this mod kit just gets it even closer.

"But I do have a backup Blues DeVille. A couple of years ago, I was having so much trouble with the Voxes, I thought (sighs) ‘I’ve gotta go to the Blues DeVilles.’ You can get a pretty good sound out of them, but they are very much more powerful, so they’re almost harder to keep under control."

To fill venues with a blanket of coalescing tones, Bonnette goes with a stereo-amp attack. This tweed combo started life as a Fender Blues DeVille 410 reissue. Touring life took a toll on it, so Cody had a Nashville friend at Black Tape Amplifiers overhaul the components and simplify its circuitry that mimics a '60s Fender.
