Great for home practice

A good solid state amp, with a fender characteristic tone. For a 10w, it's louder than I though it would be. The overdrive is nice and warm.

As an American I was torn between the Latin spelling and the French spelling (Lucian versus Lcien), but being a total romao-phile went with the latin/anglicized version. Luciano, great name. I vaguely named my boy after Lucius Corelius Sulla, Luciano Pavarotti and Lucian Freud... covering my respect for the boldest of ancient rome's politicians,classical music and modern art. And a little nod to Lucian's grandfather Sigmund buried in there too.

Not much to say--it came with my squire and I will hopefully get an EVH or a Marshall this month.. Can't keep up with my drummer, even tho it's loud for a 10 watt.

Great

This amp is for the people who like things simple and easy, in addition to beginners. I personally like it for those reasons, also because the sounds it amplifies are stunning.

Stunning gain

Wow. For a 10-watt amp, I can say it keeps my neighbours awake all night:)

As of 2017, this amp is out of use. It has been replaced by Peavey Backstage Plus.

10 watts is a lot. Really. Even weak solid state watts thru an inefficient little speaker. 10 watts through a pair of celestions is a little better than half the dB of a 30 watt amp through the same pair of celestion speakers... 50 watts is only like 2 to 4 dB less sound pressure than 100, not remotely half as loud as long as the 2 amps are being projected by the same number of speakers and those speakers are equally sensitive and the cabinets are equally efficient.
