Description
Introducing the Moog Subsequent 25, a compact yet powerful analog synthesizer that brings together the best of Moog's classic analog sound with modern sound-design functionality. This 2-note paraphonic synth is Moog's most compact keyboard synthesizer, but don't let its size fool you. It's packed with all the rich sonic density that Moog synthesizers are renowned for.
In the heart of the Subsequent 25, you'll find a robust analog sound engine with double the headroom of its predecessor, the Sub Phatty. This allows for a wider range of distortion and overdrive, from thunderous bass to percussive beats and complex leads. The Multidrive circuit enhances the analogue filter section, providing a unique blend of OTA distortion and FET drive for a powerful and transformative sound.
The Subsequent 25 comes with 32 expertly programmed presets to kickstart your creativity, showcasing everything from retro synth stabs to futuristic soundscapes. But the real joy of this synthesizer lies in its hands-on control - 32 front-panel knobs invite you to shape your sound in real time and create your own signature patches.
With full MIDI implementation, you can seamlessly integrate the Subsequent 25 into your digital workflow, while four onboard CV inputs allow you to interface with other voltage-controlled analog gear. Despite its small footprint, this synthesizer is a reliable companion on stage and in the studio, delivering the full sonic experience you'd expect from a Moog instrument.

Wonderfull for bass lines
Excellent synth just missed an arpeggiator and more presets!
Besides that is the way to go for 25 keys synth.

So compact, and it's a moog!
I need it after I sold my Sub 37, and Subsequent 37
I wanna simple and compact size, but huge Moog sound. But wanna more modulation option than Minitaur, also need less than Subsequent 37
So I just pick this one!
I love the sound and size of this Subsequent 25
Except... some hidden functions! But I could get the moog synth with reasonable price :) I'm glad with it

@ever_josh I've been considering a Sub 25 or Subsequent 25 for same reasons you did. How often do you find yourself using the hidden functions when making bass patches?
330
@pkennethk Hi ! I just got & used my Subsequent 25 for only 3 days, but I hope it could be helpful to you :)
The hidden functions I often used since Sub 37 -> Subsequent 37 -> Subsequent 25 are these things.
- Initialize Preset
- Filter & Amplifier Envelopes Options ( Trigger Mode, EG Reset )
- Duo Mode
- Legato Glide
and other features like Filter Slope.
But we can edit them on Editor ( for free ! ) And when we need to change or tweak what we've made, most of features are comfortable for change with knobs!
Hidden functions bother us only the first time when we make a patch from simple saw tooth (Init Patch)
