better than vintage
a solid colorsound overdriver copy in a reasonably sized box with a master volumeso you can get the gnarly fuzzy grind from it without hitting your amp full tilt.... max the master volume and its pretty muchs tock. I had a real one and another clone by a small builder. this sounds closer to the original, the other one was more raspy. The overdriver (AKA powerbooster) is a great circuit and everyone should try one. its sort of a fuzz, a boost, a basic EQ, you name it. Its a great rock n roll gadget.

"Mike played either the Jazzmaster or the Cooleycaster through his Sommatone Roaring 40 head and matching 2x12 open-back cabinet. I know he was using the Prescription Electronics RX Overdriver because I put it on his board that day. He used it all weekend."
