Built on the legacy of the acclaimed RØDE NT2, this microphone sports a professional large 1" capsule and a host of handy features that make it one of the most adaptable condenser mics on the market.

At the heart of the NT2-A lies the Australian-designed and -manufactured HF1 dual diaphragm capsule. This innovative element ensures the microphone's frequency and transient response complements today's modern recording techniques while capturing the silky smooth character of classic mics from the 50s and 60s.

The NT2-A also includes the SM6 shock-mount with a detachable pop filter, providing isolation from unwanted noise and vibrations. This addition, along with a 6m XLR cable and a dust cover, makes the NT2-A a complete studio solution set ready to capture the best of your creativity.

Workhorse of a mic.

Amazing for recording acoustic instruments, foley samples, and can record a variety of singing voices nicely. I tried a slightly lower-priced Seinheiser which sounded very tinny, brittle. I've owned several Rode-NT2a's now. Suspension mount snapped annoyingly on this latest one but purchased a budget alternative and it is perfect. You can replace the mount with Rode's dedicated suspension mount if you want.

Amazing microphone for the price

This microphone is the $200 - $300 dollar range price. I consider that this microphone offers a great value for the money. The first thing you'll notice is that is quite heavy, the multi-pattern allows you to use this microphone for several applications like recording a group of people singing a capella or record a guitar amplifier, or of course vocals. I think it records a sound with a huge spectrum of frequencies and very consistent on the lower frequencies.

I will definitely recommend it

Best inexpensive mic ever

I love this! I have recorder more than 3 EPs with this one for now and it's great for different vocal styles (I have worked with postpunk, industrial rock, metal, electronic and country music). Add this to a nice preamp and you will be satisfied. One of the best solutions for a home|small studio on my opinion.

Very nice microphone! I use it on everything! Its a multipattern 1" diaphram condenser mic. It sounds really nice especially for the price!

Hands-down the best condenser microphone I've ever used.

The Rode NT2A is a relatively cheap microphone, compared to microphones such as the Neumann U87, while still achieving great sound capturing, and having many polar patterns. If you've got a good amount of money in your pocket, purchase this, and you will not be disappointed.
