Top solid state amp i ever have
First of all, i love the retro looking, the feel of the knob, everything looks so well made, the sound is amazing, clean and clear, loud enough to make a good live presentation, the chorus and vibrato is beatiful in so many ways, and if you have a stereo pedalboard you can exploit his full potential, have footswtich, have effect loop, deal very good with distortion pedal and overdrive, only bad thing it's kind of heavy to deal in live presentations and have a little floor noise that can be annoying but it's not the end of the world, love the reverb and the distortion it's not that bad.

nice cleans, handles pedals well
Does have a slight learning curve it also can get pretty loud. The built in reverb and distortion are both pretty good. Weighs like 40ish pounds. Great sub one thousand dollar solid state. I would recommend getting some sort of stand for it however as it is pretty heavy as previously stated. (used on “Not So Kino”)

Crisp and lush
Has the rich presence of the JC 120 without the need for a forklift to tote it around. Not only does it recall the bright chorus sounds of 80s while providing a solid palette for your favourite jazz tones, but it offers a perfect, clean solid state foundation to build your pedalboard tone-house upon. Distortion is a bit limited but that is not why you bought this anyway.

I love this amp. Best chorus sound and light. Small but puts out enough sound for the concert venues we play without distorting.

In the instagram post provided, to the right of Atsuo's acrylic drum kit, one can observe a Roland JC-40 Jazz Chorus amplifier, confirming its use by Takeshi Ohtani.
(Though the model is unspecified, Soccer Mommy regularly uses smaller JC-40 amps instead of JC-120.)
Allison and Lopatin also avoided going down the DI route, instead using a tour-tested combination of a Fender Princeton, a Silvertone amp and a Roland Jazz Chorus, which was employed for a lot of the acoustic flavours. “I didn’t want to rent a bunch of things because I think the goal for this album was to capture what we actually sound like playing together,” Allison says. “We click and that’s something that I personally think is really fun to hear, when you can tell that the band is playing off each other.”
In this Instagram video at a few points you can see a JC-40 as Kristian's main amp. I was at the Philly show earlier on this tour and got a good look but no pics—this would confirm. Also noting that Kristian's previous live rig was a two-amp stereo setup—this would seem to solve that in one combo.

Andy Shauf used a Roland JC-40 for this Live at Massey Hall (Nov 23, 2017). Obviously, he chose this amp for clean sound, chorus and stéréo image (we can see 2 microphones in front of this amp). Here he use it as a acoustic amplifier.
In this live performance of "I'm Not There", done in Fiction Studios in London, Keaton Henson is playing through a Roland JC-40 Jazz Chorus.
Checking out the studios website you can see that they have a Laney head and an Orange cab - used by the other guitarist. The amp right behind Keaton looks like an Aguilar bass head with some cab, for the bass player. His jack seems to go in the direction of the JC-40 tucked in the background, behind the back up singer. The Rolan JC-40 is listed on the studio's website.
