SE-O2 visible thoughout video. Appears to replace the minimoog voyager used in prior live setups - artist describes the device as a "moog clone" in the interview at the end of the performance and says it "sounds great". OP-1 seen in prior live setups (at least around 2015) is no longer present.more
I just got my Roland SE-02. and its pretty amazing. First impressions, the packaging looked fantastic so that's already giving it 3 gold stars outta 5... HUGE LOW END, and can get really buzzy to simple sweet tones to titanium t-rex growls. Knobs were hilariously tiny but not too tiny (fyi i can palm a basketball), even my girlfriend laughed when she saw them. Also the knobs are not as loose as I thought they would be from all the complaints I heard, they're about the same level of sturdiness as a Korg MS20 (plus Studio Electronics is developing a VST editor for it, that's suppose to come out soon.) The delay actually sounds pretty good and when you put the time on zero you can get this haunting sound. Still got a lot more exploring to do, the sound shaping options on here are pretty dynamic, can't wait to use it in a techno track, where a sweet bass donk slowly transforms into something crazy.
