The Scran V2 by Soundlad Liverpool

The SoundLad Liverpool Scran V2 is a UK-built dual-voiced overdrive pedal that channels iconic British tones from the 1990s Britpop era through to the 2000s indie “sleaze” sound. It builds on the original Scran design with added versatility, including a “90/00” mode switch that lets you flip between classic Britpop grit and a more mids-forward indie drive inspired by bands like The Strokes. With transformer-based circuitry and custom inductors, it offers rich dynamic response and a musical feel that reacts well to playing dynamics. The pedal also features a pickup simulator and buffered output for better pedalboard integration and placement flexibility. Whether you’re chasing chiming rhythm textures or overdriven lead tones, Scran V2 delivers authentic vintage-flavored overdrive with modern usability. Designed and hand-assembled in Liverpool, it’s become a favourite for players seeking distinctive British character in their drive tones.
