Owner Insights

We analyzed real musician discussions from forums and Reddit to find what players love, question, and tweak about Stanton DJ Pro-2000 headphones.

Features and functionality

  • The Stanton DJ Pro-2000 headphones are valued for their removable cable, which allows for easy replacements and modifications with a double stereo jack cable.

    Source

Comparisons

  • Grado headphones, while solid in size and appearance, lack detachable cables, making them less suitable for easy transport and modification.

    Source
  • The TMA-1 headphones align with several criteria for public transport use, offering good sound and aesthetics, though they lack folding capability.

    Source
  • The Stanton DJ Pro-3000s were modeled after Sony V700s, sharing similar driver characteristics and appearance.

    Source

User experience

  • The Shure SRH840 is noted for its flat, monitor-like sound, which may be better suited for reference and mixing rather than casual listening.

    Source
  • Extended use can cause discomfort due to the headband's pressure on the top of the head, especially with the headphones' weight.

    Source
  • Despite the durability issues, the headphones produce great sound quality and are very loud, appreciated by multiple users.

    Source

Use cases and applications

  • Grados are mentioned as inferior in isolation compared to TMA-1, making them less ideal for noisy environments like public transport.

    Source

Build quality

  • The plastic rotating hinge is fragile and prone to cracking under minimal force, often requiring makeshift repairs like zip ties and super glue.

    Source
  • The pleather on the ear cups is known to flake over time, creating a mess of black dander.

Mix it like cornbread battah

These headphones are super dope. I use them for mixing electronic stuff in live situations as well as detail focusing on song mixes. Nice bass response. Super clear and fairly accurate sound representation.
