Most versatile, but actually useable, modeling combo in it's price range and beyond.
This is an amazing single 12 combo. Several different amps and effects to play with. Four storable channels. My favorite models are the JTM45, JCM800, and the mystery custom high gain which to me sounds much like a Diezel VH4 or maybe a Mesa. It's really a digital modeling amp, but their valvetronix tube hybrid preamp design is fantastic. Uses a 12ax7 in a unique way to add realistic tube character in the power stage. Besides sound quality, the ability to attenuate volume while still dialing in the amount of tube gain you want at almost any level blows other modeling amps out of the water. For the money, I don't think there's a better combination of convincing tube character and power output while still being as versatile as other popular all-digital modeling amps in it's category.
