Here we have a rare 1954 Fender Telecaster in mint condition. It's a fantastic and classic-sounding instrument that was a gift to Paul McCartney from his wife, Nancy. You can hear this guitar showcased on the track "Pretty Boys." McCartney plays this Tele through his vintage Vox AC30 amplifier for that track's main guitar part. You can also hear this guitar notably used on the track "Lavatory Lil."

Brian May's iconic sound with Queen is closely tied to the Vox AC-30 Custom Classic amplifier. As detailed in Guitar.com's feature "Artist Collection: Brian May's AC30-powered Queen Backline Up Close," this amplifier has been a staple in May's gear lineup, contributing to the distinctive tones that define Queen's music.

The Vox AC30 Twin, introduced in the spring of 1960, has its unmistakable tone all over the very beginnings of guitar-based popular music, and some of the greatest English bands ever have plied their trade through this most revered of combination amplifiers.

A band utterly synonymous with Vox are, of course, The Beatles, and the documentation of John Lennon’s first purchase of a Vox amp – an AC15 Twin bought on 27 July 1962 from Hessy’s Music in Liverpool – still exists. By early 1963, the band were well on their way to becoming the biggest band of all time and both Lennon and George Harrison had moved on to the classic black/brown AC30, with amps provided by Vox after manager Brian Epstein had reached an agreement with the Brit amp manufacturer. Paul McCartney also used an AC30 for a few shows around that time, albeit the head version called the Super Twin, fed into his trusty T-60 2×15 cabinet.

During Alvvays concerts in Paris (Le Trabendo) and Brussels (Le Botanique), on June 4 and 5, 2023, Molly Rankin could be seen using a Vox AC-30 amp, placed on top of the Roland Jazz Chorus 120 amp.

In the music video for "Taxes" by Geese, Cameron Winter is seen using a Vox AC-30 Custom Classic amplifier at the 1:02 mark, confirming its use.

The amp is used for Chris Haskett's live shows and can be seen on the photos.

James Petralli uses a stereo rig, always featuring his usual Vox AC-30, in conjunction with a 2nd amp, which changes from time to time throughout the years: (Silvertone 1472, Supro Thunderbolt, Fender Blues Junior, Fender Deluxe Reverb Amp, etc).

The Vox AC-30 is also mentioned in a Guitar.com article, where James said:

“On stage, I use like a Blues Junior or an AC30. You know the AC30 will cook, but I use different preamps in front of the amplifiers to get most of the grit for stage stuff, so I don’t have to worry about feedback. That said, I do like feedback occasionally! Just that point where it’s about to take off and be unplayable is where I like to live as a guitar player, but singing when you’re trying to wield that can be a little tricky!”
