Boss DD-20 Giga Delay Review #2

loopers-delight.com

The Boss DD-20 Giga Delay impresses with its true stereo capability and versatile 23-second delay across 10 modes, including a delightful reverse mode. It excels for stereo instrument users, offering creative looping possibilities by switching between loops. However, switching back deletes the previous loop stack, a notable downside. Despite this, it's a cost-effective alternative to its pricier mono counterparts.

Boss Giga Delay Dd-20 AudioPaal Review

guitarmasterclass.net

The Boss DD-20 Giga Delay shines as a versatile, reliable delay pedal. Offering a vast range of clean, high-quality digital delay sounds, it competes with having multiple pedals in one. Its ease of use is commendable for basic settings, though more complex adjustments can be tricky without consulting the well-written manual. Built with Boss's trademark ruggedness, it promises durability in any setting. While battery consumption could be an issue, especially without an adaptor, the pedal's overall performance and seamless preset switching make it a strong contender for any guitarist's rig.

Best delay

Now I have used pedals such as the timeline and the new dd-500 but this thing just beats them both. I actually sold my dd-20 to get a dd-500 when it came out but ended up buying back my dd-20 and selling the dd-500 cause it was just too much. This pedals gives you exactly what you want/need whilst delivering very high quality tones, nothing more, nothing less.

nick_desimone

massive options

Endlessly versatile pedal, if you're a delay nut you'll probably never put this thing down. I got one thinking it was going to fill a hole in my sound that ultimately had a lot more to do with needed good reverb, and I could have gotten by with a simpler delay unit in the same product line. It's also a tank, as Boss pedals always are, and will take any beating you can throw at it. I used to carry my pedalboard in a suitcase because I thought i was clever, and it survived years of more abuse than actual use.

tarbyrocks

Versatile delay pedal with unique effects for creative soundscapes

Great, varied delay pedal which can get me long, spacey delays with short analog delays and everything in between. I personally love to use the reverse delay and the analog delay, plus the "twist" effect for big rock endings and snazzy interludes

Delayed

At first, these multi-functional delays may seem intimidating, however within an hour or two of sitting down with this pedal, you'll be an expert and ambient master in no time. This pedal has an amazing selection of delay styles, tuning features, and overall amazing sound!

Powerhouse of a Delay

Quite simply, this thing is a powerhouse. As long as you stay in the realm of normal delay sounds (and even some out there ones), this thing can get the job done. LED display is incredibly useful. I just wish it had some more controls over the sound, but this has been my main delay for the last several years and I don't plan on changing soon.

Best delay pedal I have ever heard!

Best delay pedal I have ever heard! And I heard a lot of them. In my opinion it's even better than the line 6 delay. The sound of the line 6 one may be slightly better. But when you turn it off, you turn it off. With this one when you 'bypass' your signal the delay will fade out beautifully.

The Line 6 delay is able to do the same, the kind of bypass it uses is optional, you can switch between True Bypass and alternate (delay trails) bypass.

M

Thanks! This is something they didn't know at my local guitar store then. :)

-It give you many options and types of delay you want

-Easily adjustable (Delay time)

-Saving it in the memory bank helps a lot when you're playing live.

Allright delay with a lot of options

What I like the most is the preset function where you can change fast between different delays.
