Review: Euphonix MC Mix — AudioTechnology

audiotechnology.com

The Euphonix MC Mix Controller shines as a sleek and powerful addition to any project studio, offering comprehensive control and smooth faders that mimic high-end analog consoles. Its OLED displays deliver excellent visual feedback, making it a standout in dimly-lit environments. However, the device's small and hard-to-read labeling might frustrate users initially, and its reliance on EuCon protocol could limit integration with some DAWs. Despite these minor drawbacks, its ability to work over an Ethernet network and provide extensive control options makes it a valuable tool for modern producers seeking to impress clients while giving their mouse a break.

Euphonix MC Mix review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

The Euphonix MC Mix controller offers superb integration with Logic, making it a top choice for Mac users. Its sleek design and precise controls provide a high-end feel, while the touch-sensitive faders and knobs enhance usability. However, the device is Mac-only and requires EuCon-aware apps for optimal performance, which might limit its appeal. Some initial setup issues were reported, but updates have improved compatibility with Cubase and other software. Despite these teething problems, its compact size and dual-function buttons make it a versatile addition for Logic users, positioning it as an impressive controller for those within its ecosystem.

Great but...

I've had these MC Series for some years now and found that the EuControl software is not stable enough. Faders are quite noisy and pan pots are sloppy. But There is something in these babies that just keep me stuck on them. I love the EuCon protocol, it saves a lot of time instead of mouse dragging and keyboard shortcuts. Got them attached to Logic Pro X.
