Critic Reviews

Akai Professional Fire review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

The Akai Professional Fire is a game-changer for FL Studio users, delivering a solid build and intuitive hands-on sequencing capabilities. Its four control modes align well with FL's workflow, making it a great addition to any setup. However, the limited two velocity levels and cramped design for finger drumming can frustrate more intricate performances. While it excels in sequencing, it lacks deeper features found in rival controllers, which might leave some users wanting more. Still, for dedicated FL Studio users, the affordability and functionality make it a worthwhile investment.

Akai Professional Fire Review

musictech.com

While the Akai Professional Fire offers a dedicated experience for FL Studio users with responsive controls and a streamlined workflow, it struggles with a steep initial learning curve and occasional software compatibility issues. The controller shines in enhancing beat creation and navigation, but its necessity is questionable for those already comfortable with the DAW's built-in capabilities. Ultimately, it enhances creativity but requires patience to master, making it a mixed bag for potential buyers looking for a seamless integration.

Awesome controller

No need to buy new. Got mine on facebook marketplace for $50. At this price it’s an insane value. There are a few FL Studio scripts that make it even more effective as a controller. Highly recommended.

Not sure why the cons state that Rosetta is required in an M1 Mac. I don’t think this is the case, any longer.

best fl studio controller

for a while i was using the maschine jam to do pretty much what this does but now i have the maschine jam up for sale. this controls fl studio almost like an ableton push controls ableton allowing for seriously quick recording/sequencing and general configuring of fl studio

Not bad

I never seem to really use this piece of hardware. It's a good idea but i don't think it makes things faster or easier.

Paperweight

The thing just stopped working. Every time I plug it in and refreshing MIDI deceives and constantly checking on Windows's deceive manager, all I get is the RGB light show. And yes I always update every FL Studio version...
