Description
Step into a world of sonic exploration with the Moog Grandmother Dark, a semi-modular analog synthesizer that beautifully merges vintage charm with modern versatility. Dressed in a sleek, all-black finish, it pays homage to Moog's classic modular synths while offering a fresh canvas for sound creation. This instrument is designed for purists and adventurers alike, inviting you to dive deep into the realms of synthesis without the distraction of presets or menus. Its intuitive layout ensures that what you see is what you get, fostering an environment ripe for creativity.
The Grandmother Dark features 100% analog circuitry from its sound engine to its modulation and onboard spring reverb tank. This ensures a warm, authentic tone that can be as simple or as complex as your imagination allows. With its 32-note Fatar keybed, you’re equipped with a premium platform for performance and exploration. The semi-modular design allows for immediate playability, but with 41 patch points, it encourages deeper experimentation, making it an ideal addition to any Eurorack setup.
Connect your external audio sources like guitars or drum machines through the 1/4” input and let the Grandmother Dark imbue them with its signature Moog character. Whether you're layering textures with the built-in arpeggiator and sequencer or manipulating waveforms with its dual analog oscillators, this synth is a playground for sound sculptors of every level.

First class Moog sound that always warms the ear.
Possibly one of the best monosynths created in the past decade plus, Moog Grandmother is the best and most ear pleasing intro into modular synthesis. True Moog leader filter, Minimoog based Oscillators, and entry level friendly modular options. But what’s great is that you could spend ages on it before you even test your modular skills as it’s great just on knobs alone. Throw in a spring filter to give it character you cannot find on any other Moog synth, and you got one of their best ideas since Bob’s last synth.

Amazing sound
Amazing sound. Spring reverb is a nice addition as well. I have a Sub Phatty as well and this makes a nice companion sonically.
Amazing mono synth
Great sounding, many modulation options due to semi modular capatibilities. Vintage, warm sound. Cool spring reverb.

Another great idea for modular synthesis. But this is 4 oscillators that can be mapped into 5, paraphonic goodness that gives you some crazy chord options, and it’s character is defined by its stereo filter and it rich analog delay. Excellent compliment to the Grandmother(ps-they do not sound the same, don’t listen to anyone who says they do)
