Description
Rediscover the classic sound of the 70s with the MXR M117R Flanger, a pedal that truly delivers the art of flanging like no other. This isn't your regular flanger effect, this is an authentic flanger that harks back to the golden era of rock 'n' roll.
The MXR M117R Flanger offers a diverse range of sound effects, from dynamic jet plane or cool space effects to short delay, chorus, and vibrato. Its versatility is unmatched, offering a unique tone that is warm and resonant, a quality that digital flangers simply can't replicate.
The four-knob interface allows you to tailor the sound to your liking. Dial down the Width to zero to disengage auto-sweep, then use the Manual knob to place the effect anywhere along the frequency spectrum. The Speed knob modulates the rate of the effect, while the Regen knob feeds the effect back onto itself for increasing phase effect intensity.
Whether you're a guitarist, bassist, keyboardist, or vocalist, the MXR M117R Flanger is a must-have addition to your gear. It's a true testament to the iconic flanger sounds of the 70s, and a tribute to the musicians who used them to shape the sound of modern music.

The ultimate flanger
All the controls you need for any flanger sounds. This 18v thing can do things no other flanger can. Vintage one is even better. I like big MXR flangers because you can not only get excellent "normal" sounds, but also super-crazy sounds (with Manual and Width low and Regen high).

John talks about his MXR pedals in this November 1986 issue of Guitarist Magazine. "All the effects are MXR except the Overdrive. I use an MXR rack compressor/limiter which isn't here at the moment. It's so good that our sound guy knicked it and put it on the PA and I haven't got it back yet! Two Flangers, so I can have them at two different settings..."
