"I’m gearing-up for our upcoming trip to Australia and New Zealand, and I’ve been wanting to update my low-gain-drive for this tour. I decided to try out the MXR Double-Double Overdrive this morning. I could not be happier. I have barely cracked the surface of this OD, and I’m already a huge fan of the dynamic range with the Treble and Bass settings, as well as the fact that there are two internal Gain circuits (so it’s as comfortable with a growl as it is with a roar). The harmonic overtones are nice and warm, there’s plenty of headroom and full-bodied chords ring extremely true through this stomp. The true test is when this thing hits the stage; but with as much boost as it’s capable of, and the aforementioned characteristics, I hardly think there’s any cause for concern. Another extremely fine job by the folks at MXR." John Baizley - Baroness
