Critic Reviews

Nektar Impact LX88+

soundonsound.com

The Nektar Impact LX88+ impresses as a surprisingly affordable 88-key USB controller with impressive DAW integration. It's light and compact, making it ideal for small spaces, and its build quality feels solid despite its utilitarian design. The semi-weighted keys are responsive, although lacking the heft of more premium models. While it misses out on the endless encoders of the flagship Panorama, it offers deep functionality with several DAWs and user-programmable layers. A downside is its limited support for Ableton Live, and there's no software editor. Overall, it's a powerful, versatile choice for budget-conscious musicians seeking advanced DAW control.

Nektar Impact LX88+ review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

The Nektar Impact LX88+ shines with its impressive DAW integration and solid build quality, making it a standout choice for its price. Its light, portable design and great key feel are complemented by extensive controls, including sliders and knobs with soft takeover for seamless use. However, the old-school LED and key entry for setting edits may not appeal to everyone. Despite minor setbacks, its affordability and thoughtful design make it a compelling option for musicians seeking a full-sized 88-note MIDI controller without breaking the bank.

Very adaptive to all DAW and cool looking too!

LX88+ is a very cool MIDI Controller as a generic controller. You got all 88 keys and can connect it to every DAW with ease. You don't need any mapping software which is a plus. It got back lit pads and buttons and looks really cool in a live performance.

iamkubic

replying to the 14 year old me< NO SIR, NO MAPPING SOFTWARE DEPENDS ON WHAT YOU DO. You dont need mapping software for production, but maybe for live performances. Oh and its big and i use it instead of a digital piano, although Williams Legato is much cheaper than this. But it has a lots of more function. Its bulky and won't look nice until uness you have a big workstation (table).
