Peavey Vypyr Pro 100 Amplifier Review | Performer Mag

performermag.com

The Peavey Vypyr Pro 100 delivers impressive modeling capabilities, offering a wide array of traditional and extreme tones that will satisfy most guitarists. The amp excels in sound variety and emulation accuracy, particularly for Peavey's own models. However, to truly harness its potential, the Sanpera Pro foot controller is essential, adding significant cost to the setup. While the digital interface offers deep customization, it's not the most user-friendly without the companion editor software. Despite its price, this amp is a versatile powerhouse for those needing a range of sounds in one package, making it an excellent choice for gigging musicians.

My Main Practice Amp

I will add as much as I possibly can about this amp when I can. It's actually the best modelling combo amp I've ever played. Smalll downside is the lack of 2x12 configuration, online cohesion with Peavey Revalver (and thus used as a tool for recording directly in place of BIAS FX), out-face to other amp cabinets, and a couple effects are pretty atrocious. Aside from this it is a pleasure to have in my basement!
