Description
Introducing the TC Electronic MojoMojo Overdrive, a pedal that exudes authenticity and originality in a market saturated by digital enhancements. This pedal offers a fresh take on overdrive, primarily designed to push your tube amps just a bit further, giving you that much-needed "more".
What sets the MojoMojo apart is its unique blend of clarity and minimal compression, a characteristic not often found in overdrive pedals. This means your sound remains clear and dynamic, even when pushing your amp to its limits. With the MojoMojo, you'll get a sound that's reminiscent of a vintage tweed amp rather than a typical TS-type pedal.
This pedal is perfect for blues players and rockers alike who crave significant distortion but wish to avoid a monotonous, over-processed sound. With its additional bass control (alongside the standard treble/tone), it prevents the thinning effect commonly associated with green-colored overdrives. Another nice feature is its response to your guitar's volume control. Lower your volume, and the pedal clears up the sound, just like a high-quality amp would.
Key Features:
- Overdrive effect pedal
- Gain, Level, Bass, Treble controls
- 2 different voice settings
- True bypass for preserving the tone in bypass mode
- Power supply: 9 V DC power supply or battery (both not included)
Experience the MojoMojo Overdrive and bring back the tradition of good, old-fashioned analogue sounds in your music.

Wonderful Overdrive
I have a LOT of drive pedals, most of them. Pedals are a guilt pleasure of mine. I only use a few, but I have most of them. Most of the time I will use a Kemper. But I still want an overdrive pedal. This is really all I need for any type of pop & rock I can thing of. Where this pedal ends... the TC distortion picks up right where this leaves off. So between 2 pedals, $100 for 90% of the tones a job will require? It is a no-brainer.

Great full-on distortion/fuzz for bass guitar
If you're looking for an overdrive for bass guitar it's fine. But for me it works best as a big, disgusting (in a good way) distortion that doesn't lose bottom end thanks to the 2-band EQ and the voice switch that keeps more bass frequencies. It would be even better with a blend knob to mix in the dry signal for that purpose, but I get that it's marketed and made for guitar, and blend controls aren't always a concern for that market.

Great
I love this pedal because it is really easy to get a boost without overdrive, which is usually how I use it, but if you need some OD, you really have as much as you need with this thing. I love the creamy tone I can get with the level dimed, and the overdrive on almost zero.

Not the Best
I'm usually somewhat forgiving with pedals, and have not played that many that are truly awful, but this one is just bad (at least with my setup). It's incredibly muddy and just bland. Used through the clean channel of my Fender Supersonic 22, and also as a boost on the gain channel, but neither sounded good at all.
