Is The Strymon Flint Still Worth It? Review by SixStringSensei

sixstringsensei.com

The Strymon Flint remains a top choice for guitarists seeking classic reverb and tremolo effects. Its sound quality is exceptional, with standout settings like the 70s reverb and harmonic tremolo. While the newer V2 offers MIDI and USB-C connectivity, the sound difference is minimal. The pedal's streamlined design avoids complicated menus, making it user-friendly. However, the 60s spring reverb lacks the authentic "drip" of a real spring tank, and the absence of onboard tap tempo for tremolo is a drawback. Overall, its stellar sound and utility make it a worthwhile investment.

Strymon Flint Pedal Review - Premier Guitar

premierguitar.com

Strymon’s Flint pedal is a hit, blending vintage reverb and tremolo sounds with modern versatility. The pedal nails the classic tones, appealing to analog purists, yet offers creative possibilities for contemporary soundscapes. Its intuitive design makes exploring sonic textures a breeze, from moody noir to surfy vibes and ambient landscapes. While it lacks a reverse reverb option, the Flint's authentic and organic tones, along with its well-crafted interface, make it a standout choice. Strymon demonstrates that digital effects can sound as warm and alive as their analog counterparts, potentially converting skeptics.

Awesome

Such a great pedal!, essential, does both jobs so well in one footprint. I have 3 boards and wish I had 3 of them, one for each board.

Best reverb sound in a pedal

When I had this, I was really only using this for the reverb side because I had heard such good things about it. I'm not really a tremolo guy so I ended up selling it. Still sounded incredible though!

andris_gabor

A pretty good 2-in-1 pedal

Some might say Strymon pedals sound a bit too hifi but the lint is Strymon's best I must say. Great reverbs, great tremolos in one box. (some might miss the tap option for tremolo but I don't care about it personally)

andre_scott

Amazing

There are nights when I don't turn this pedal off. The reverb is very well suited for guitar and the harmonic tremolo slays me. I keep trying to find more uses for it, and it keeps making itself useful.

matthew_dyer

Big tonal variety

Lots of options here. I primarily use it for a consistent vintage Fender sound through my Orange TerrorBass.

Reverb or What?

Best vintage sounding straight forward Tremolo and Reverb Pedal

This pedal covers all the classic vintage types of Tremolo and Reverb extremely well. A great replacement for those classic effects in a small affordable package.

The Flint Kicks A%^#

What a delicious box of voluptuous depth. The reverb is astounding and DEEP. The throbbing Tremolo is like tripping. I can't wait to get to rehearsal.

Amazing tones!
