Toshihiko Tanabe Dumkudo Overdrive Pedal Review - Premier Guitar

premierguitar.com

The Tanabe.TV Dumkudo Drive is a lively and expressive overdrive pedal that excels in versatility and tone. It's praised for its ability to enhance both single-coil and humbucker-equipped guitars without losing their character. The pedal's multi-voiced functionality offers a range of tones from blues to jazz with a dynamic pick sensitivity. However, the pedal's complex internals and cramped controls may deter those not inclined to tinker. At $310, it isn't cheap, but it's built to last and could replace several lesser pedals. Overall, a robust choice for those seeking dynamic blues-rock tones with personality.

Three OD Pedals in One Box, Sounds Killer!

From light overdrive, to thicker gain sounds nearing distortion, the Dumkudo is the best OD pedal I've ever played. It's natural amp-like feel is so nice to have in a pedal when you rely on nothing but a pedal for your grit sounds. It can go from a Dumble amp sounds to Marshall plexi'sh sounds. Put a boost pedal in front and you can get thick buttery distorted tones out of it. On the side of the pedal is a 3 position switch that changes the character of the overdrive, thusly, three OD pedals in one box.
