Endless Mapping Possibilities
For so long I have been looking for a midi controller that allows me to map everything i want to map, and not have to scroll across pages or open use other buttons to get there. I have 3 different templates setup in ableton that I use with the VCM-600. One channel i use like a mixer to record live drums. I midi map an EQ, gain, compressor, arm track, solo, mute, play, stop, record, loop, rewind, a reverb send, etc. and the faders and knobs are as close to like having a mixer as you can get. The 2nd template is for live situations. Each channel has a beat repeat, a pitch control, a gain knob, auto filter, sidechain compression threshold adjustment, solo, mute, and arm track That i can turn and adjust at anytime. then you still have room for more effects. on the right side

At 2:16 PVD says, "I have the VCM-600 over here, which is like a phenomenal trigger and it sort of gives me even more controller over more channels so I can actually put even more together."
What equipment do you use in your production today?
“Ableton Live8, EMU SP-1200, Technics SL1200, Vestax pmc20sl and Vestax vcm600.”
We use [Ableton] Live for our “live” shows amongst other equipment. I’’m also using Vestax VCM-600’s for the live show; these are great pieces of kit, very hands-on.
