Fender Bassbreaker 15 Combo Amp Review | The Budget Guitarist

budgetguitarist.com

The Fender Bassbreaker 15 shines as a versatile tube amp under $700, adeptly handling clean and crunch tones, making it a favorite for both home and band settings. With features like an effects loop and built-in reverb, it delivers a commendable clean Fender sound and impressive crunch, though its Celestion V70 speaker may not be to everyone's taste, leaning towards a midrange presence. While heavy at 40 pounds and with a lackluster line out, its ability to pair with a Strat or humbucker and an external cab output makes it a solid choice for diverse playing styles.

Fender Bassbreaker 007 & 15 review

guitar.com

Fender’s Bassbreaker 15 impresses with its versatile tonal range, offering shades of sixties Marshall and fifties Fender flavors ideal for rock enthusiasts. The amp’s EL84 valves and Celestion speakers deliver a mid-Atlantic sound that excels in both clean and high-gain settings, making it perfect for everything from Beatles' riffs to Foo Fighters' crunch. However, its onboard reverb lacks depth, and the cabinet can sometimes stifle the amp's natural voice. Swapping in a better cab can unlock its full potential, revealing complex harmonics and a sweet high-end. Despite minor drawbacks, the Bassbreaker 15 is a powerful, adaptable amp that delivers classic tones at a reasonable volume and price.

The best amp i've ever played

I don't really know how to Say It, but i wasn't able to get this amp to sound bad, as hard as i've tried. It Simply astonishes, and gives you the Power selector and the master volume to easily tailor any sound.

Awesome, well-rounded workhorse amp

This thing is great. 15 watts will definitely get you through a smaller gig, but if you want clean tone in a large setting you'll definitely need to get something bigger. This amp is READY to breakup. Great blues tone, very creamy. You're not going to get a whole lot of chime out of it, but mic'd up it does great clean tone. Highly recommended for blues/rock. In my honest opinion as well, the reverb does little for me. I usually have it at 7 and it just adds a touch of color to my pedal rig.
