Moog MF-104M Analog Delay Pedal Review - Premier Guitar

premierguitar.com

The Moog Moogerfooger MF-104M Analog Delay is lauded for its expansive tonal possibilities and exceptional build quality, making it a standout in the crowded delay pedal market. Its rich, organic echoes and versatile modulation section, featuring six waveform options, provide a vast array of soundscapes from subtle to experimental. This pedal is praised for its intuitive layout and robust construction, combining classic Moog aesthetics with modern functionality, like tap-tempo and MIDI control. However, its large footprint and high price—comparable to multiple simpler delays—may deter some buyers. Overall, it’s a top-tier choice for those seeking a powerful, creative tool capable of transforming their sound.

A blown-up Memory Man

Really good and sounds real nice on synth but id say that for the price youre good to get a Memory Man, a Strymon and something like an analog copy and itll give you about the same versatility. Saves space

Fantastic BBD

Authentic bucket brigade delay in a stomp box format by moog. Dont be fooled into thinking this is just a guitar pedal by the layout "buckets" of headroom and accepts line level or hi Z. As with all moogerfoogers the unit can be overdriven to further increase the warmth of the tone. Full midi control and CV implementation further increase functionality. The delay is a little "dark" for some people and i think it sounds best with the delay returned into its own channel and EQ'd. Also no true bypass, but why would you want it when the the unit colours the sound so nicely.

Mr. Swiss covers It really well

I'd have to refer you to Mr. Swiss's post as he expresses and extols the virtues and character of this pedal well. It's saved my ass on tour when my Tape Echo failed (tho I had to combine it with others to get the multihead syncopation I needed) but there is a magic in this pedal. Try it on any source. Label your power supply if you're anything like me tho! Piles of pedals & adapters. This fella needs a proprietary plug (vs your standard 9v).

No way you'd regret picking up this gem.

Warm Analog Delay

A bit expensive, but the warmest analog, but flexible delay sound ever. with bypass you can have a warm distortion pedal for your keyboards and guitars. MIDI and tap syncronizable.
