Critic Reviews

Native Instruments Kore 2

soundonsound.com

Native Instruments KORE 2 impresses with its improved interface and broad-ranging library of built-in sounds, making it a versatile tool for producers and performers alike. The integration of sound engines means users can create without needing additional plug-ins, while the revamped hardware controller offers a smoother experience. However, the installation process can be cumbersome, and some previous functionalities like crossfading presets have been removed. Despite these drawbacks, KORE 2 provides a powerful platform for sound design and live performance, making it a worthy consideration for those looking to enhance their virtual instrument setup.

Native Instruments Kore 2 review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

Kore 2 from Native Instruments is a solid solution for musicians seeking polished presets and intuitive sound tweaking. With six robust audio engines and an impressive 418 built-in sounds, it shines as a powerful instrument. However, handling third-party plug-ins can be cumbersome, and some sounds prioritize spectacle over practicality. Despite occasional struggles with its sound browser, Kore 2 remains a fun and versatile tool for sound design, especially when paired with additional NI plug-ins. Overall, it’s a worthy investment for those looking to expand their sonic palette.

Review of KORE 2, the powerful Super Instrument from Native Instruments

rekkerd.org

Native Instruments KORE 2 impresses with its versatility and potential to enhance workflow, offering a unified platform with seamless integration of third-party plugins. The hardware controller is effective, though not essential for all users. While the sound matrix and performance presets are intuitive, they may strain older systems. Overall, KORE 2 is a powerful tool for musicians seeking to streamline their production process, despite occasional technical hitches.

Absolute joy to play with

I first saw this at a pawn shop near where I was living, which they were selling for a ridiculous price. I was fascinated though, as it's quite an old piece of equipment. So I went back and did my research, and lucky me someone was selling it on an online platform for half the price compared to the pawn shop. I bought it off him and did not regret it, it definitely isn't the shiniest and best piece of equipment especially compared to the stuff you're able to get these days. Although, the Kore player synths do offer some unique sounds.

Great for controlling all of the NI Sounds

One of NI's first attempts into the realm of hardware. I still use it. Does the job although they seem to have dismissed the software so there are no new updates :(
