Description
Step into the world of vintage analog delay with the Supro Delay, a pedal designed to bring back the classic sound of the '70s. With a pair of newly produced MN3005 bucket brigade IC chips, the Supro Delay offers high headroom and an impressive signal-to-noise ratio, standing out in the crowd of analog delay pedals.
This pedal provides up to 600ms of rich, buttery vintage delay that's adjustable to your liking. It features a unique filter control, offering both low-pass and band-pass functions on a single knob, allowing you to shape your sound in ways that most delay pedals don't. Additionally, the pedal provides click-free, true bypass switching, ensuring that no footswitch noise enters your delay line.
Designed by Howard Davis, the mastermind behind the legendary late 1970s EHX Deluxe Memory Man, the Supro Delay combines vintage inspiration with modern manufacturing techniques. It's housed in a custom-made anodized aluminum chassis, ensuring durability and longevity.
Key Features:
- Analog delay effects pedal with up to 600ms delay time

Underwhelming, especially for the price
I can’t understand why anyone would choose this over Boss DM-2W for analog delay. Supro Delay is pricier, taller, offers less maximum delay time (600ms vs. 800ms), the echoes fade faster, the knobs are harder to read and very anemic self-oscillation capabilities compared to Boss.
The main selling point is the Filter knob. At its minimum setting, it boosts low-end frequencies while reducing treble; at maximum, it cuts both bass and treble, emphasizing midrange. But it's not like it's gonna make you sound as hi-fi as the digital units. While Supro’s repeats can sound slightly brighter, they introduce significantly more noise. Strangely, self-oscillation only works with the Filter knob at the minimum position.
That said, here are some features others might appreciate (though they didn’t sway me): 1) Louder echo output compared to the Boss; 2) Expression pedal compatibility for controlling Repeats, Time or Level; 3) Internal switches for Dry Kill and Trails modes; 4) Silent, soft-touch switching.
Overall, Boss DM-2W feels more thoughtfully designed, versatile and tidy. Supro Delay, by contrast, comes across as a rushed, scanty experiment.
Artist usage

In an Instagram post, Paul Gilbert showcases his use of the Supro Delay pedal, emphasizing its role in his setup with the caption, "Slide magnet on my Ibanez Rocket Roll V. All pedals on. Lift off!"
In this interview article, Joey Walker mentions his latest addition - the Supro delay.
I [Joey Walker] also have a Wampler Faux Analog delay, which I really like. That’s my only delay pedal. And annoyingly, the one I’ve had since, like, even before King Gizzard started, it just recently broke – and I don’t think they make them anymore. So I have a temporary analog delay, which is one of the new Supro delays.
In the "Chris Buck Pedalboard Build" episode of That Pedal Show on YouTube, Chris Buck is shown using the Supro Delay pedal.
