Description
Inspired by a legendary pedalboard staple, the Warm Audio ODD Box Hard-clipping Overdrive Pedal is an artist-favorite for its ability to emulate the iconic "cranked amp" tone. The hard-clipping, op-amp-based circuit delivers the sounds of a saturated boutique tube amp, attracting renowned players like Billy Gibbons and Eric Johnson. The ODD Box's tonal versatility is perfect for boosting, adding breakup or injecting high gain to clean tones, making it a valuable addition to any musician's gear.
The ODD Box offers a unique U.K./U.S. switch that enables you to quickly change the pedal’s personality. The U.K. setting increases distortion, boosts the upper mids, and raises the volume, giving this setting a distinct "British" amplifier tone. The U.S. setting, on the other hand, reduces color in the gain staging, allowing the ODD to act more like a boost and aligns better with traditional "American" amplifier tones.
Constructed through-hole using premium components like the TLO82CP op-amp, 2N7000 transistors, and hand-selected capacitors and resistors, the ODD Box is designed to deliver an authentic replication of the original V1 model's tone. It maintains the classic controls of the original: Volume, Gain, and Tone, ensuring familiarity for overdrive fanatics.
