Amazing
Incredible multi fx unit. Admittedly the learning curve for it is a little steep, although that might just be because i’m a bit of a tech-tard and (up until this magical thing came into my life) I’ve always just used analog pedals/effects. I used to be desperate for a huge pedalboard that covered all bases sonically, with everything from lush choruses to nasty sounding ring-mods and everything in between, but now with the POD Go I have every effect I could ever dream of at my fingertips.

Amazing gear for touring musicians
I love this thing. I bought it because I wanted to find something smaller so that it fits my guitar case and frees a hand when on tour. (This piece of gear fits into Gator's Pro-Go big pocket) At the same time, I wanted something with a pedal on the board so I don't have to carry a lot of cables. Honestly, I didn't expect a massive difference in sound from HD500 and, god, I was wrong. Pod Go sounds dozens of times better, it's more responsive to the dynamics, and overall sound quality is superb. All features it has are aimed at easy and fast setup right on the stage. The screen is not small and looks nice and clear too. Multiple modes allow t control the device as you like (presets, preset snapshots - basically presets within presets, or classic pedal board controls).
The only thing I miss is probably one more effect block (a limitation of the DSP which explains the price), but if used in a smart way it is possible to achieve the required results with what is available too (for example, set different Drive value for different Snapshots, so that you can commit another distortion pedal in the chain). The device also has an Effect Loop, so missing effects can be added as real pedals.
An amazing piece of gear which made my touring so much more pleasant.

You’re right on all accounts. I get around the DSP shortage by using a physical compressor pedal, so no need to use a lot for one. Playing bass, compression is Always On, and the compressors in the Pod Go are substandard by comparison, so it’s a win-win for me!

Solid work station
Technologies became better and I became older. After several years of collecting pedals and making a descent pedalboard I finally gave up on practicallity. This processor can save your back, your nerves and your wallet. It is compact and light but doesn't feel sloppy. With this device you can come to any concert venue and play with YOUR sound. It is very fast to plug-in and go away after the show (especially usefull when artists come one after another in a short time). NO MORE PHOTOS OF YOUR AMP SETTINGS DURING THE SOUND CHECK! (if you use playing in line). I don't even regret selling my expensive boutique pedals. Ofc pedals are very fun and probably if I just play in one band only in one place - I would stay with pedalboard. But even in this scenario I would probably buy a processor to be a part of my gear for different situations. Why it is 4 and not 5 stars? Almost every Pod GO user knows about little hack-trick. First of all, thank you, Line 6, for this (not afraid of this word) amazing product, but please, make this hack-trick into a feature.
Preferred Settings + Usage:
I always use LowCUT/HighCUT EQ in the end of the chain. It helps to reduce mud and high peaks. Also a cool thing is when you have snapshots with different delay settings and you jump between snapshots - it makes interesting dwelling/shimmer effect.
Best value for money option!
i like it very much, best purchase ever so far.
For elementary users it gets the job done along with a decent amp very easily!
However for more pro gigs, you have to spend time and some extra money to experiment with IRs and customize it with all the available pedals installed in PodGo along with your extra pedals in the FX loop.

I really love this Pod Go
I'm so glad I bought this, for real. Even though I mainly use the effects pedals on it live, when I record in the studio I use the amp modelers in the Pod Go and they sound really similar to my Roland JC-40. So to me its a win-win situation. Live I use the effects and in the studio I use the amps and the effects and I don't have to waste time placing a mic in the amp, etc.

All you need in 1 device
Super intuitive to use, but it's way easier to create/edit presets on the computer with the Line6 POD App. The HD500X allows you to add more effects and combine 2 lines of effects+amps, but the sounding quality of the POD Go is the same of the Helix! You can use IRs, too! I literally plug my guitar, then connect the Main out to the PA system and the Amp out to my amp just for monitoring purposes (if the venue has a decent monitor system, I don't use an amp!) Also, it fits in my backpack, with my cables, so I literally carry 2 guitars and my backpack with my POD, cable and accessories. So easy!

This connection method is pretty cool. I discovered it myself recently and it is a blast!

Amazing
The Pod Go is amazing. I use it at every gig I play. Its effects sound amazing. It has so many effect pedal simulators, I don't even think I have tried them all yet. They are all easy to use as well. And its amp and cab sims are really good too.

Solid and probably all you need
What it does it does perfectly. It just sounds awesome, especially when you load impulse responses.
Issues. The wrong input impedance means I must run a buffer before this processor. That should never be necessary. The DSP is limited and the compressors have no gain reduction monitoring, so I must use external stomps before and in the loop. Again, this is unnecessary and something the bigger Helix’s don’t need to worry about.
Preferred Settings + Usage:
For bass, the Ampeg SVT Pro 4 run flat into a Lancaster audio SVT impulse response. Darkglass obsidian is my modern rock and metal dirt pedal of choice
