Two perfect phaser tones
Compared to EHX Small Stone this one is midrange-focused, which makes it ideal for guitar tones, but makes it sound duller for other applications. It's also more agressive, more funky. If you want your Phase 90 to be less agressive and funky, engage Script mode, which is a nice compromise between Block Phase 90 and Small Stone. As for negatives, the infamous Phase 90 volume boost. Also, why is it so rare for good phasers to have proper depth control? Overall, you can't substitute Phase 90 with Small Stone or vice versa. You need both pedals.

Even if you're not an EVH fan, this is a great versatile phaser because it has a script switch - you essentially get a block logo and script pedal in one box.

Being a big EVH fan I got this because the sound was so amazing and I felt it would well in my pedal setup I would definitely recommend to any VH fan or non VH fan if you want a classic phase 90

Makes me sound EXACTLY like EVH!
Well, tone wise at least LOL. I can't play like EVH nor will I ever be able to. I'm not dedicated enough to practice the 10 hours a day it would require to achieve that, and even then it would still take me 30 years HAHAHA! This pedal is the SH!T though!
