Nice but not very diverse.
This is a classic pedal and its tone is incredible: I love launching into a bit of "Me vs. Madonna vs. Elvis" at about 11 o'clock with the depth switch up. This having been said, there are more diverse, and maybe just plain better, pedals out there: the JHS Emperor comes instantly to mind. Of course, that pedal is three times the cost. You pays your money and you takes your choice...

Simplistic and nice sounding
I bought this pedal for half the retail value at a pawn shop and I knew right from the start I would love this pedal. I mainly use this pedal when I need a chorus sound in my signal and it never fails to satisfy. This pedal is simple to use while delivering great tone.

Not ideal for bass, but...
So this isn't a bass pedal, but it helps fill out my tone if I play leads or intros. I've used it on a few recordings, and it always sounds great. Just a really versatile pedal. My only complaint is that I've never had much luck with EHX pedals lasting. I tend to have problems with switches loosening or flat-out breaking. I end up opening it to fix things fairly often.

It's not small, but it gives very good and bright chorus sound. It was my first chorus pedal for my bass guitar and I absolutely love it. Not so many options, but it sounds great enough to forget about another knobs.

Universal chorus
Probably one of the best pedal ever made by EHX changing your sound into a fantastic haze that may turn into a real storm ... just by turning one knob. Then, you can choose between a soft or a hard chorus with the switch. It's also the best kind of pedal for stage performance since it's very easy to change fastly. Some guitarists like to control each tendency of their sound, but they won't with this one ... another question of personal choice !

I do not know where I got my small clone RI. I don't think it sounds particularly good... not like an old one. Much more brittle. Functional chorus though with a different sound then a boss or Ibanez. SOLD

It was my second pedal I got, and I just fell in love with it, its just been my go to ol' fateful chorus pedal that I have used on many of Shifter's songs, such as the title track to our first album "Shifter's Isle".

Cool, but...
Cons: - needs boss-style power mod. wtf? - no knob for depth control. seriously? - psychedelic modulations too noticeable compared to Boss CE-2

I wanted to get some of that great Joy Division chorused bass sound whilst keeping with a simple to use pedal. Wonderfully I was able to have both in the same unit as Peter Hook uses (the Small Clone and Clone Theory use the same circuitry) and the design sure is easy to use.
