Visual Sound Dual Tap Delay Pedal Review - Premier Guitar

premierguitar.com

Visual Sound's Dual Tap Delay pedal impresses with its integration of digital and analog tech, offering lush, warm delay sounds that inspire creativity. Its dual-channel design allows for versatile delay setups, from slapback to long echoes, with a master tap tempo simplifying synchronization. The pedal's intuitive layout is a plus, featuring clear rhythmic subdivisions and modulation options for added depth. The unit's compact design, despite its size, and the quiet operation are standout features, making it a reliable choice for both live and studio settings. However, it lacks a BPM display, which might deter users needing precise tempo control. Overall, the Dual Tap Delay is a sonic powerhouse that encourages musical exploration without overwhelming complexity.

Visual Sound Dual Tap Delay review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

The Visual Sound Dual Tap Delay is praised for its robust build and sound quality, offering ease of use with its straightforward controls. Its two-in-one design allows for versatile soundscapes, even adding chorus with channel one's modulation. However, the absence of the external click track box and its price may deter some buyers. Ideal for old-school delay enthusiasts, it lacks programmability, making it more suitable for those seeking simple delay effects rather than complex setups. Overall, it's a solid choice for those who prefer a classic, non-programmable delay pedal.

Review: Visual Sound Dual Tap Delay | Guitar World

guitarworld.com

The Visual Sound Dual Tap Delay is a powerhouse for creating rich, complex delay effects, combining two delay units in one pedal. Each channel offers extensive controls, including delay time, tone, and modulation, allowing for versatile soundscapes from subtle echoes to lush, chorus-like textures. The tap-tempo feature is a standout, facilitating precise timing control. While the modulation is somewhat conservative, emphasizing mild effects over more intense settings, it maintains a clear, noise-free output thanks to its hybrid analog/digital circuitry. Despite its capabilities, the pedal's dual functionality is intuitive, making it a superb choice for musicians seeking depth and flexibility in their delay effects.

Very nice sounding delay

After many delays at my feet I've finally ended up with a Strymon TimeLine unit and the only sound that I miss from previous delays I had is the one from this Visual Sound unit with some of its modulation past noon and some tweaking with its tone knob to make it sound darker (but it's always clear), it has a deep and warm character that fits well to my taste, really sweet.

It says 'Lonnie' because that's the Lonnie Mack sound - it makes the sound of that vibrato that sort of bends the note like on Wham - then a short delay, just a rockabilly delay in the other stage."
