A bavím se samozřejmě o originálu, který používám Neumann U87 ne o verzi Ai. Velmi rád používám tento vintage mikrofon, je to takový univerzál, který sice není vhodný pro každý hlas, ale rozhodně to můžete zkusit a z tohoto bodu se odrážet dále k hledání jiného mikrofonu pro daný úkol. Tento nástroj mám v mém nahrávacím studiu Sunteem records.

Fantastic
This is a workhorse mic and I really love how it sounds on acoustic guitars, female vocals, and drum overheads. I combine this with a UA-610 mic pre and it has a silkyness to it that is reminiscent of Frank Sinatra.

similar capsule to the recordings of Frank with a U47 and U67... not the same as the Tele ELAM251 they put in front of him and way different than his earliest work when all that was available n the USA were ribbon mics, usualy RCAs... but you can't go wrong with any Neumann's, they come in different flavors but are al tasty

In regard to drum miking, Stephen Street's approach was fairly standard for early '90s recording. "Yeah, pretty traditional in a sense," he says. "I might have used a [Neumann] U47 FET inside the bass drum. The usual kinds of Shure dynamic mics on top of the snare and under. Sennheiser [MD] 421s on the toms, KM84 on the hi?hat, and the overheads would have been two U87s. That tended to be my go-to set-up back in those days."
Used for at least two replacement vocals on Ark, as recalled by mix engineer Nic Briscoe in this interview from The Nic of Time #5.
Eric Burden [sic] came in once and replaced two vocals, I think, on “Loose Change” and “Trying to Get to You.” I know we used a Neumann U87 microphone and BeyerDyamnic DT100 headphones — I can still see him in my mind’s eye: He had a very bright Paisley shirt on.
He was very monosyllabic with me. He just came in, listened to the tracks whilst I set up the headphone mix, and then he sang the songs. It took just a few hours. Then he left. Hardly any practice runs or drop-ins (repairs on something just recorded), just a couple of straight takes, and choose the best one after.
For me, this was a relief, for two reasons. Firstly, there were hardly any completely empty tracks available on the twenty-four-track, two-inch master tapes. Secondly, some lead vocal sessions, just on one song, could last days.

Used as a room mic for Second Coming, as mentioned by producer Simon Dawson in the January 14, 1995 Melody Maker interview "Diary of an LP: the Stone Roses' Second Coming, Part One" by Tom Doyle.
"Oh yeah, the same old skins and everything. I don't think he changed a skin in the whole time — they've probably been on there for years. Sometimes we'd use an acoustic tunnel if there was too much ambience, but not very often because we quite liked the live-sounding bass drum. The snare was miked up by a straight Shure SM57, the toms were all Sennheiser 421s, the overheads — which are probably the best overhead mikes I've heard in my life — were Neumann 56s, which are valve pencil mikes. In fact, you get a great kit sound just from the overheads, so we tended to build up the sound of the kit around those. We'd also use a pair of straightforward Neumann U87s and maybe an SM2 valve, either Telefunken or Neumann — it's a stereo mike and we used that sometimes in the corridor that runs along the side of the live room. We'd open the door and record the sound of the corridor as well."
