Great piece of affordable kit!
In short, the Ibanez Tube Screamer 'Mini' is closer in sound to a reissue Ibanez TS808, but really a tube screamer is gonna sound like a tube screamer no exception. I prefer the 'Mini's' tone more than my TS9 which is a bit more compressed sounding and less low end EQ (Tube screamers don't have a lot of lows to begin with). I recommend the Tube Screamer mini to guys and girls who are new to dirt pedals and peeps who are on the ongoing pursuit of guitar 'tone'. I keep my Boss SD-1 on my board for its grittiness, but would happily replace it with the smooth subtle tones of a TS mini in a heartbeat if my Boss pedal ever broke down (which is near impossible). Size doesn't matter ;P

Honestly incredible for £65
I have used both the TS9 and TS808 along with this and this is the pick of the bunch in my opinion. It has a bit of a rawer feel to it with a good amount of drive and full volume. It is honestly fantastic and if you don't want to stump up double for a TS9 or risk spending less on a cheap copy, this is the choice!

The Legend, Modernized.
The Ibanez Tube Screamer is probably one of the most legendary and iconic pedals of all time, you don't need to read a review about it in so much as you need to throw your money at your local gear shop and take one of these home with you. The Mini is a great option for crowded pedal boards and it doesn't seem to suffer from its weight loss. You're sacrificing the use of a 9-Volt battery and need to keep it plugged in, but on powered boards that isn't an issue. I use this pedal to enhance pretty much all of my other pedals when I need that extra dirt and bite. So good. Butter on a Pop-Tart good.

Perfect Drive.
I run this as a light drive, it's the first thing my signal hits coming off the guitar. Not only does it make a great light drive on it's own, If you run it into a muff, it can help unmuddy the muff without making it too brittle. Together they make an incredible fuzzy, full range distortion.

Classic pocket tube screamer sound
The sound is incredible, nothing to say about it, if you are looking for a tube screamer but need little space this is your best option. The only thing that could affect this pedal are the materials of the knobs that do not seem very durable, also that the smallest ones can be moved without you noticing.

if you have a high gain amp its metal-able.... just use the inherent low rolloff from the small input capacitor to tighten your lows and kick v1 harder. turn the gain on the low side, crank volume and set tone to taste.

100% pure TS tone in a small box
This small green box will give you everything you could ever expect from a regular TS-9 / TS-808. Either you are boosting your tubes to get more grit or use it as a standalone drive you will find it fantastic! It's true bypass, takes very little precious space on pedalboard and what is even more important TS mini costs a half of a price of a regular tubescreamers.

I can get all the good crunchy tones, boosts, lead tones, anything. This tiny pedal is a versatile monster that does everything I need it to. It adds nice mid-range frequencies to your overall tone.

This is the fuzz box I use with the drive as mentioned. You can really use any big muff pi though, as I run it on original muff pi settings. Also, I run the tone a little bit below halfway up so it isn't too harsh.
